The 2024 Genesis G90: A top choice for full-size luxury

The 2024 Genesis G90 is an all-around exceptional full-size luxury sedan that has been loaded with features and possesses extraordinary value. Compared to its predecessor, the G90 has undergone a complete redesign, making it a vehicle that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also practical and rich in technology features.

This stunning flagship model competes in the market with more expensive vehicles such as the BMW 7 Series and the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, providing a luxury value that’s hard to beat. While the driving dynamics may not match those of the German competitors, the Genesis G90 more than holds its own in comfort, design, and technology.

The car’s interior is equipped with state-of-the-art features including auto-closing doors, an extravagant ambient lighting system, and a superb 23-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system. The rear seat is roomy and comfortable, equipped with a full-recline seat, touchscreen monitor, and a comprehensive center console. The driver’s cabin includes a 12.3-inch digital driver display, 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, and top-quality metal toggles for essential controls.

Compared to its competitors such as the Lexus LS, BMW 7 Series, and Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the Genesis G90 offers plenty of interior space, although the trunk size is slightly smaller at 12.0 cubic feet in the 3.5T and 10.6 cubic feet with the E-Supercharged powertrain. Despite a smaller trunk, the G90 offers a wide opening and a level load floor for added convenience.

Two powertrain options are available in the G90: the 3.5T and the 3.5T E-Supercharger. The standard powertrain is a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6, while the upgrade engine is a mild-hybrid version of the same twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6. The car comes equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive is standard. The EPA fuel economy rating is 18 miles per gallon city, 26 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined for the 3.5T model.

The 2024 Genesis G90 comes standard with an impressive array of standard equipment, including 20-inch wheels, panoramic sunroof, Nappa leather seating, power front seats with massage function, and a whole suite of safety tech. The 3.5T E-Supercharged model is available at a starting price of $102,195, and includes multi-chamber air suspension, heated and ventilated rear seats with massage and recline functions, Bang & Olufsen 3D Premium Audio, and a rear wireless charger.

The G90 also boasts exceptional safety ratings, having received the IIHS Top Safety Pick+ designation, with the highest ratings in all crash test categories and top marks for vehicle-to-pedestrian crash avoidance. The standard safety equipment includes forward collision, blind spot, rear cross-traffic, and parking collision warning and avoidance systems, as well as lane-keeping assist, blind spot cameras, parking sensors, and driver attention monitoring.
