Tesla Cybertruck Driver’s 1340-Mile Road Trip: Documenting the Issues Faced with the EV

YouTuber Dennis Wang took a Cybertruck on a 1340-mile road trip, documenting his journey and posting it online. After the Foundation Series version of the truck was released, Wang and his friend took it on a 27-hour road trip from Austin, Texas, to Joshua Tree National Park in California. During the trip, Wang encountered some issues including difficulties with charging and a glitch in Tesla’s infotainment system. He was also unimpressed with the range, as it felt like it was at times cut in half. While Wang enjoyed the ride and the spacious design, he was disappointed with the performance issues. Charging the Cybertruck at Superchargers also posed unexpected difficulties as many seemed to not be designed with the Cybertruck’s larger size in mind. Wang found the truck’s infotainment system in the front of the car to glitch out about 12 hours into the trip, but it did begin working properly once the car was stopped and turned off for a few hours. Despite these issues, Wang was impressed with the vehicle’s interior and build quality. Still, there were some concerns about the efficiency and range of the truck, and how it performed under certain climate conditions.
