Our recent test drive of the 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 N revealed that this high-performance electric vehicle will come fully loaded with features, positioning it as a top-tier offering from Hyundai. Priced at $66,100 before destination charges, this model will set you back about $67,475 for a fully-optioned trim.
Compared to other Hyundai models, the Ioniq 5 N comes at a premium, surpassing the Nexo fuel-cell SUV by about $5,000 and the base Ioniq 5 N by about $25,000. It also outshines the limited-edition Ioniq 5 Disney 100 trim by roughly $7,000. When pitted against its corporate cousin, the Kia EV6 GT, the Ioniq 5 N boasts a higher price tag but more power, quicker acceleration, a larger battery, and a richer feature set. While range figures are yet to be confirmed, it’s clear that Hyundai has prioritized performance and innovation in the Ioniq 5 N.
Despite being priced around $14,000 higher than a Tesla Model Y Performance, the Ioniq 5 N offers a compelling package. When factoring in additional costs for paint options and self-driving capabilities, the two vehicles nearly balance out in terms of pricing. However, it’s worth noting that the Tesla qualifies for a federal tax credit which the Ioniq 5 N does not.
Hyundai has invested heavily in enhancing the Ioniq 5 N, with improvements ranging from a more robust structure to advanced features like N Grin Boost, N e-Shift, and Highway Driving Assist 2. The vehicle’s performance is bolstered by a 641 hp power output and 545 lb-ft of torque, along with a range of chassis and software enhancements that promise an engaging driving experience.
