Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio models to no longer be available in North America after this summer

Larry Dominique, Alfa Romeo senior vice president and head of North America, recently announced the impending end of the Quadrifolgio models in North America. The last opportunity to order a 2024 Giulia Quadrifoglio or Stelvio Quadrifoglio will be at the end of April 2024, with the last internal combustion-powered Quadrifoglio models for the U.S. and Canada leaving the Cassino plant in June 2024.

This means that there is a window of about 10 weeks for interested buyers to place an order for these high-performance models before they are no longer available in the market. After that, until late summer, potential customers will have the chance to find a fresh example on a dealer lot.

The Quadrifoglio is a significant model in Alfa Romeo’s lineup, with a rich history that dates back to its 101st birthday when Italian racing driver Ugo Sivocci first painted the four-leaf clover on his car for the 1923 Targa Florio. Today, the Quadrifoglio models are powered by Alfa’s twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 engine, which produces 505 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque in its typical configuration. Limited-edition Quadrifoglio Anniversario models have even more power and additional features, making them highly sought after.

While the internal combustion Quadrifoglio models are coming to an end, this does not mean the end of the Quadrifoglio line altogether. Alfa Romeo will continue the legacy, with future iterations likely to feature some form of electric assistance. CEO Jean-Philippe Imparato has even hinted at a potential 1,000-hp battery-electric 2026 Giulia Quadrifoglio, showcasing the brand’s commitment to innovation and performance.

Additionally, given the rising popularity of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), there may be an opportunity for Alfa Romeo to explore this technology as a middle ground between internal combustion and fully electric models. The brand is dedicated to finding the right balance between performance, efficiency, and sustainability, drawing inspiration from its Italian heritage and looking towards the future of automotive technology.
