Introducing the Legendary Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed Roadster Concept, a Mythos Exclusive

Mercedes has unveiled the Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed concept, providing a glimpse into the exclusive world of their Mythos halo cars. The PureSpeed takes inspiration from classic roadsters like the Ferrari Monza SP1 and Aston Martin V12 Speedster, with a design that pushes boundaries by removing the roof entirely. The number 10 on the front fenders pays homage to the historic 1924 Targa Florio-winning supercharged 2.0-liter Mercedes.

Incorporating modern elements, the PureSpeed features a single longitudinal carbon fiber brace reminiscent of Formula 1 safety features. The car comes equipped with two custom helmets, offering a field of vision similar to that of an F1 driver. The striking design includes a Le Mans red hue transitioning into graphite gray and exposed carbon fiber, drawing similarities to the Mercedes-AMG One. The carbon fiber-covered wheels are inspired by the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 car.

Details about the powertrain remain undisclosed, leaving enthusiasts to speculate about what lies under the hood. It is anticipated that the PureSpeed will utilize a powerful hybrid system, possibly derived from the AMG SL 63 S E Performance, delivering a formidable 805 horsepower and 1,047 pound-feet of torque.

With production scheduled for the following year, the PureSpeed will be an extremely limited offering, exclusively available to dedicated Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts and collectors. Only 250 units will be manufactured, making it even more exclusive than its predecessor, the Mercedes-AMG One.
