Unveiled at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, the Jaguar C-X75 was a highly anticipated model that unfortunately never made it to production. However, the legacy of this unique vehicle lives on, with one of the surviving stunt cars from the 2015 James Bond movie Spectre being transformed into a street-legal version by Callum, a design firm founded by former Jaguar design boss Ian Callum.
The process of making the C-X75 road-legal was no small feat, but Callum and his team were up to the challenge. They made numerous modifications to the car, including replacing the glass, installing a quieter exhaust system with catalytic converters, tuning the supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine, and adding new switches inside. Additionally, changes were made to the suspension system, including adjusting the ride height and improving panel alignment and gaps.
One interesting detail to note is that the stunt cars used foam door mirrors, which had to be replaced with functional mirrors featuring turn signal repeaters. The entire vehicle received a fresh coat of paint, giving it a like-new appearance. The upgraded Jaguar C-X75 will make its public debut at the prestigious Bicester Heritage Scramble event in England on April 21, 2024.
