The 2024 Ford Bronco: An Awesome Review with a Catch

The 2024 Ford Bronco 2-door and 4-door are stylish, capable, and versatile vehicles that offer a tremendous amount of trim level variety, strong engines, and off-road prowess. However, there are certain drawbacks worth considering before making a purchase.

One notable issue is the loudness of the Bronco; even with the hard top and acoustic liner, it’s considerably louder than other off-road vehicles. Additionally, the quality of the interior materials is underwhelming considering the vehicle’s price, and the strange digital instrument cluster may not be to everyone’s preference. The fitment of the cloth roof is also a bit wonky, and potentially invasive locations like a parking lot can pose challenges when maneuvering with the ultra-wide Raptor. The destination/acquisition fee is quite high, and dealer markups are another potential added cost.

In terms of new features, every Bronco now comes standard with a 12-inch touchscreen. However, the keyless entry keypad is no longer available, and some trim level-specific changes have been made. The Base trim level has been discontinued, certain models have additional engine options, and some trims can no longer be equipped as two-door vehicles.

The interior of the Bronco offers rugged, retro-inspired design with various thoughtful details that cater to the Bronco’s drive and use. However, there are inconsistencies in the quality of materials, and the fitment of the cloth roof and plastic windows is not as well-executed as in some other competing vehicles.

The Bronco 4-door has a spacious and family-friendly back seat and a generous cargo area, while the 2-door version has significantly less cargo space. The Bronco Raptor is only available as a 4-door, and its notably wider track can present challenges in tighter spaces.

Two engine options are available for the 2024 Bronco, and each offers solid power output. However, fuel economy may suffer with certain tire and axle ratio options, and there’s a minimal difference in fuel economy between the four-cylinder and V6 options. Additionally, the Bronco’s standard two-speed shift-on-the-fly transfer case offers versatility for different driving conditions.
