Despite my extensive inventory of luggage tests and stories from the year 2023, the driving experiences that stood out the most were driving Audis and Porsches, as well as several memorable drives in the Ford Mustang, my personal Kia Niro EV, and my once-owned Acura TSX.
Let’s get straight to the point, here are my top stories from 2023.
– 2023 Audi RS3 Road Test: Narrow road, barely paved, could be bears: I, alongside my wife, took a shortcut driving Audi’s small yet powerful sedan. The experience had its ups and downs, but overall, it was memorable.
– The 2024 Ford Mustang has a drift brake. It. Is. AWESOME!: This car provided an incredibly fun and exhilarating driving experience that left a lasting impression.
– 2024 Porsche 718 Spyder RS First Drive Review: ‘May be harmful’ (in the best possible way): This loud, super roadster provided an unforgettable experience, especially when I drove it in southern Germany.
– Porsche Per Day: Retro review of five classic Porsches from 356 to 959: This detailed five-part retro review series, written right after driving the Spyder RS, has to be one of my top experiences and stories from 2023.
– How I was reunited with my Acura TSX after 16 years: A chance Instagram message led to an unexpected reunion with my long-lost Acura TSX.
– I’ve owned an electric car for four months and not used a public charger once: My initial experiences with owning a Kia Niro EV received a great deal of response and engagement, prompting me to share the story here.
– 2024 Audi Q8 E-Tron Road Test: Upgraded EV is a great day tripper: This road test experience proved that sometimes the best drives are not about speed, but about the journey itself. One of my favorite drives of the year was a potentially frustrating jaunt up the Northern California coast.
