Founder of VinFast introduces V-Green: a worldwide electric vehicle charging station enterprise

HANOI — In a strategic move to support VinFast vehicles worldwide, the founder of Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast recently introduced V-Green, a company focused on EV charging stations. With billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong holding a 90% stake, V-Green aims to establish a comprehensive charging network as a global partner.

V-Green’s primary objective is to proactively seek locations and partnerships to develop and expand the charging infrastructure in key markets for VinFast vehicles. Vuong emphasized that V-Green will play a crucial role in the company’s ambitious plan to enter at least 50 countries by 2024.

Operating in Vietnam, V-Green will oversee the management and operation of VinFast’s current charging network, with future considerations to extend charging services to other electric vehicle manufacturers after five years of operation. With an investment budget of approximately $404 million over the next two years, V-Green will focus on establishing new charging stations and upgrading existing facilities.

Notably, in a previous move to promote electric mobility, Vuong also founded Green SM, an EV taxi operator that contributed significantly to VinFast’s sales in 2023. The developments within the VinFast ecosystem, including the introduction of V-Green, signify a strategic commitment to advancing sustainable transportation solutions globally.
