2024 Chicago Auto Show: How to Attend, Dates and Tickets

It’s February, and that means it’s time for the 2024 Chicago Auto Show. This year marks the 116th show held, with the first exhibition dating all the way back to 1901.

Here are the details if you plan on attending:

When is the Chicago Auto Show?
The Chicago Show will have its press and industry days on February 8-9. It will then open to the public on Saturday, February 10. The show will run until the final public day on February 19. The public days will have varying hours, with most days running from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., except for February 11 where it closes at 6 p.m. and February 19 where it closes at 8 p.m.

Where is the Chicago Auto Show?
The show will be hosted at McCormick Place, as usual. The exact address is 2301 S. King Dr, Chicago, Illinois, 60616. This year, the exhibits will be limited to just the South Hall, as opposed to previous years where it spread across both the North and South Halls. There will be a number of restaurants open inside the convention center for on-site food options.

How much are the tickets for the Chicago Auto Show 2024?
Tickets for the show will be available for purchase at the convention center during public days. They can also be purchased online. Pricing is $17 for adults, $12 for seniors 62 and older, and for children aged 4 to 12. Children under 3, who are part of the same family and with the purchase of an adult ticket, can enter for free.

Is the Chicago Auto Show good for kids?
Children under 3 years old get in for free, while those aged 4-12 will be $12. Kids will have a great time at the Chicago Auto Show with many cars to explore and interactive experiences such as Ford’s Built Wild mountain and Hyundai’s EV test track, as well as other outdoor test drives/rides.

Chicago Auto Show Parking and Public Transportation
McCormick Place offers parking garages for visitors, with prices varying based on the lot. Additionally, there are two bus routes with stops at McCormick Place (#3 King Drive and #21 Cermak). There is a CTA train station half a mile from the convention center, plus shuttles running from Metra stations to the show.
