EarthCruiser ceases operation immediately

EarthCruiser, a pioneer in the overlanding industry, has unfortunately announced its closure. Established in 2008 in Oregon, the company specialized in crafting high-quality overlanding vehicles using medium-duty pickups and box truck chassis’. On April 24, EarthCruiser shared on its website that it would cease operations the next day, April 25, citing the challenging market dynamics and economic pressures of recent years as key factors in this decision.

The company was renowned for its EXP and FX models, which were built on the Isuzu NPR platform. Three years ago, EarthCruiser introduced the Terranova Expedition Camper, a compact camper tailored for chassis-cab pickups like the Ford F-550. This camper featured a unique roof design that could be raised or lowered to adapt to different terrains and conditions.

Moreover, EarthCruiser ventured into designing specialized off-road fire and rescue vehicles under the name Commander Off-Road Equipment (CORE) for emergency services in the Pacific Northwest. These rigs were engineered to navigate rugged backcountry terrain efficiently, enabling first responders to reach remote areas swiftly.

Despite the closure, EarthCruiser is committed to conducting an orderly liquidation process in compliance with state regulations. Further updates regarding the company’s winding down will be communicated in due course. For any business-related inquiries, individuals are encouraged to reach out to Jamie Bradley at jamie@earthcruiser.com. It is truly disappointing to bid farewell to such an innovative brand in the overlanding community.
