The 1967 Pontiac GTO at V8 Speed and Resto Shop was given a complete restoration from the frame up. The original car was in rough shape due to having rusted and deteriorated over time. The team implemented a comprehensive plan which included evaluating, disassembling, and restoring the car. Repairs were made on the GTO frame, and the body underwent media blasting, replacing of panels, and perfecting of fitting and sanding. The interior was completely refurbished, as well as the mechanical and paint components. Once the restoration was complete, the car was revealed at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals show in Chicago, where it scored 997 out of 1000 points in the Street Modified class during the judging.
