Lamborghini unveils new logo after two decades of the same design

Enthusiasts strolling through the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in 50 years will have a simple way to determine the approximate production year of a Lamborghini. Starting later in 2024, the iconic brand’s vehicles will showcase a newly redesigned logo with a focus on minimalism.

It is noteworthy that this marks the first time in over two decades that Lamborghini has revamped its logo. The changes made are relatively subtle, with the shield-shaped emblem retaining its overall layout. The word “LAMBORGHINI” still sits at the top, just above a charging bull. However, the shield’s frame has been reduced in size, featuring a flatter appearance, and the bull is now represented as an outline with fewer intricate details.

While the bull has been a staple of the logo since the company’s establishment in 1963, it will now be showcased independently for the first time. Although vehicles will continue to display the shield, the bull will feature in the brand’s marketing and promotional materials. Additionally, Lamborghini has introduced a brand-specific font to further solidify its identity, visible in publications and social media platforms.

Although Lamborghini has not disclosed which vehicle(s) will debut the new logo, the latest addition to its lineup is the Revuelto. This model boasts a 1,001-horsepower plug-in hybrid drivetrain centered around a new, naturally-aspirated V12 engine. While unveiled in 2023 with the old logo, potential collector interest may rise for early models showcasing the previous emblem if they are later updated with the new design.

With at least three new models on the horizon, including a plug-in hybrid evolution of the Urus and a successor to the Huracán featuring a downsized twin-turbocharged V8 with hybrid technology, one of these models will likely be the first to showcase the new logo. Looking ahead, Lamborghini aims to introduce its first electric vehicle around 2028, further solidifying its commitment to innovation in the automotive industry.
