Hyundai-owned Mobis is gearing up for CES 2024 where they will unveil 20 new technologies that could potentially make their way to production models in the near future. As a leading supplier, their showcase at the Las Vegas Convention Center will feature a futuristic concept vehicle that demonstrates some of these innovations.
Although the specifics of the concept have not been revealed, it is evident that its design blurs the lines between hatchbacks and crossovers. Boasting numerous LED accents and a unique design, the concept serves as a platform to showcase the advanced software and hardware developed by Mobis.
Among the key features is the e-Corner technology, previously showcased by Hyundai, which enables the vehicle’s four wheels to turn by 90 degrees, allowing for lateral parking. Whether any updates or modifications have been made to the system will be revealed at CES, and the potential for its integration into future production vehicles remains to be seen.
Mobis will also emphasize advancements in driver and passenger information delivery, with a highlight being a see-through display that spans across the dashboard, integrating the instrument cluster and infotainment system. This innovative layout aims to minimize driver distractions by providing essential information within the driver’s line of sight.
Additionally, Mobis will introduce features such as a rollable display, a swiveling display, a Quantum Dot and Local Dimming display, and a 3D display with OLED-like graphics. While full details are yet to be disclosed, Mobis is confident that these advancements are more than just concepts and anticipates a strong demand from global automakers once they enter production.
CES 2024 is set to kick off on January 8th in Las Vegas, where Mobis will showcase innovations that are ready for mass production. As a subsidiary of Hyundai, Mobis not only contributes to the development of Hyundai vehicles but also supplies components to other automotive companies. Stay tuned for more exciting updates from Mobis at CES 2024.
