The updated Kia EV6 in Korea features a revised exterior and upgraded interior

The refreshed Kia EV6 has officially launched in the Korean market, featuring a range of updates that were teased in earlier images. One of the most notable changes is the redesigned front fascia, which now includes “Star Map” lighting that creates a striking polygonal pattern around the front bumper and an illuminated crossbar. At the back, the full-width light bar is enhanced with complementary lighting, while new mock diffuser shapes differentiate the GT-Line from other trims. The addition of new geometric wheels in black and silver, available in 19 or 20 inches, further aligns the EV6 with Kia’s latest electric vehicle lineup.

Inside the EV6, the instrument panel has been reshaped to a pure rectangular form, while the steering wheel in non-GT trims boasts a unique upswept design. The GT-Line features a three-spoke steering wheel for added differentiation. Additional interior upgrades include a reshaped wireless charging pad for improved phone security, a digital rearview mirror, dynamic ambient lighting, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Kia Digital Key 2 compatibility, and a fingerprint sensor for keyless authentication.

In terms of comfort and safety, Kia has increased body rigidity with a thicker B-pillar, added more sound deadening around the rear motor, and fine-tuned the damper settings. The vehicle now comes equipped with 10 airbags for occupant protection. Over-the-air updates are now capable of updating vehicle control systems, not just navigation.

The EV6’s battery capacity has been upgraded from 77.4 kWh to 84.0 kWh, allowing for a 350 kW fast-charging capability that can recharge the battery from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes. This enhancement is expected to increase the vehicle’s range, with the Korean market version gaining an additional 19 kilometers. While the EPA cycle ratings are not yet available, the EV6 is set to debut in additional markets as a 2025 model.
