This weekend, the Red Bull team will take an F1 car for a drive on the streets of D.C.

The Formula 1 race in China this weekend is facing challenges due to weather and track issues. Meanwhile, back in the U.S., Oracle Red Bull Racing is bringing their single-seater to Washington D.C. for an exciting Showrun event. The event will feature ex-team driver David Coulthard behind the wheel of the RB7, a replica of Sebastian Vettel’s 2011 F1 Championship-winning car.

Taking place in the heart of the nation’s capital, the Showrun will see Coulthard speeding down Pennsylvania Avenue between 3rd and 7th Avenues. This thrilling display is just one part of a four-hour event happening in two locations. The Fan Fest at Union Market on 5th Street SE will offer RB7 start-ups, a static display of the RB19, a Q&A session with Red Bull F1 team members, a pit stop challenge, racing simulators, freestyle moto rider stunts, and more.

For those looking to witness the live runs, the track will open at Constitution and Pennsylvania Avenues at 1:30 p.m. Coulthard will take to the “track” around 4 to 6 p.m., so be sure to arrive early as trackside access will be limited after 4 p.m. After the thrilling runs, head back to Union Market for musical performances by Joony and IDK starting at 7 p.m.

This exciting event is happening on Sunday, April 20, and is free for all to attend. If you can’t make it to D.C., don’t worry, as there are four more Showruns scheduled in Bowie, Texas, Nashville, Chicago, and Wasilla, Alaska, later in the year. Don’t miss out on the adrenaline and excitement of the Red Bull Showrun event in your city!
