It seems that the delays in production of GM’s new vehicles are not limited to the Chevrolet Traverse, as the 2024 Buick Envision is also experiencing setbacks. Similar to the production delay of the Traverse, the 2024 Envision has encountered its own share of obstacles, resulting in a postponement of its market launch to late 2024. This marks the third delay in the production timeline.
One significant change in plans for the 2024 Envision is the exclusion of the Super Cruise feature. Originally intended to be the first Buick with this hands-off driving technology, the decision to exclude it from the 2024 Envision was made for reasons that have not been disclosed.
Despite the setbacks, when the 2024 Envision finally arrives, it will sport a refreshed front end featuring a larger grille, positioned lower on the front fascia, and adorned with bright trim and the new Buick emblem on the hood. The headlights are integrated into the bumper, while LED daytime running lights replace the existing headlights. However, information on the rear end and interior design is still pending due to a lack of images from Buick’s summer reveal.
Additionally, the changes in production plans may result in a revamped trim lineup for the 2024 Envision. It is anticipated that the 2024 model will offer only three all-wheel-drive trims: Preferred, Sport Touring, and Avenir. This change would see the elimination of all of the front-wheel-drive trims available in the 2023 model. Additionally, it is estimated that the pricing for the 2024 Envision will decrease by approximately $2,000 for all trims except the Avenir, which is expected to increase by about $460.
While the delays are undoubtedly inconvenient, it is hoped that the 2024 Envision will triumph over its production challenges and deliver a remarkable vehicle to the market.
