The Andretti team has assembled a workforce of 120 individuals, including 50 GM employees dedicated to the power unit development. Wind tunnel tests for the 2025 car are underway, and discussions with Renault are occurring in order to integrate an engine into their vehicle prior to GM’s powertrain availability in 2028.
While Formula 1 has left the door open for Andretti-Cadillac to potentially enter the championship in 2028 with a Cadillac powertrain, there is no guarantee that the bid will be accepted at that time.
