Despite being displaced at Red Bull, F1’s Sergio Perez remains confident and focused on achieving more.

Sergio Perez, Red Bull’s teammate to dominant World Champion Max Verstappen, is gearing up for another season of Formula One racing after an intense year. While Max Verstappen snatched an unprecedented 19 victories out of 22 races last season, Perez struggled to maintain his early success, finishing second overall.

Reflecting on his experience, Perez compared his situation to Eddie Irvine’s time as Michael Schumacher’s teammate. While Irvine likened it to being hit over the head with a cricket bat every two weeks, Perez made light of the comparison, stating that the challenge posed by Verstappen is a “great challenge” and one he is looking forward to.

Entering into his fourth season with the team and with his contract ending this season, Perez is aware of the competition for his position. He emphasizes that he has more to give and is still motivated to perform well on the track for Red Bull.

Looking ahead, the Mexican driver’s goal is to secure a strong performance in the upcoming season to create opportunities for himself in the future. With seats available in other teams and his longstanding ties to the Red Bull family, Perez is focused on making the most of the coming season.
