2024 GMC Sierra sees both increases and decreases in pricing

The 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 has undergone some changes compared to the 2023 model, offering buyers new options and cost savings for certain trims. In particular, the new AT4X features the 3.0-liter Duramax diesel inline-six as the standard engine, reducing the base price by $2,400 compared to the previous year’s model, which only offered the 6.2-liter V8 engine. Additionally, the 6.2-liter AT4X now costs $500 less than last year. Most notably, the 2.7-liter Turbo H.O. four-cylinder gas engine has been rebranded as TurboMax and comes with a five-year, 100,000-mile warranty.

More options are available for the Sierra lineup with the addition of two new wheel designs and new color options. Downpour Metallic and Thunderstorm Grey have joined the palette, with their availability being dependent on the trim. In terms of pricing, despite a $100 increase in destination fees, five out of the eight trims are now less expensive compared to the previous year, with some trims being reduced by as much as $1,000.

For those considering a 2023 Sierra, discounted offers of up to $8,000 have been reported for December, while the 2024 Sierra has been offered discounts of up to $5,350. Additionally, those looking to take a tax loss for 2023 should consider purchasing the older Sierra, as it is still available in dealer inventory and on the configurator.

This information provides potential buyers with valuable insights into the changes and cost savings associated with the 2024 GMC Sierra 1500, allowing them to make informed decisions about their purchase.
